Frankfurt brushes produce the brushed, antique and matt finishes on stone — a different look from polishing, achieved by an abrasive brush rather than a polishing pad.
Abrasive brushes deliberately leave a textured surface. This is a specified finish, so the brush grade is chosen to produce it repeatably, not to remove material.
With a decorative finish the customer sees variation between slabs immediately. Brush grade and machine parameters are held constant so the batch matches.
