Large-capacity quarry wire saw with permanent-magnet drive
The 75kW permanent-magnet motor wire saw is the highest-power machine in our quarry wire saw range, built for continuous block extraction in hard stone. Permanent-magnet drive holds torque across the full speed range, so cutting speed stays stable as the diamond wire loads up instead of falling away in the cut.
This is the highest-power of our six wire saw classes. The 75kW permanent-magnet drive is the highest-power class in our range, intended for the hardest and largest blocks. Permanent-magnet motors hold torque across the speed range, which keeps cutting speed stable as the wire loads up.
PM motors deliver high torque from low speed and hold it under load. In practice this means a more constant cutting rate through a long cut and less risk of the wire stalling and polishing the cut instead of cutting it.
A 75kW machine can use a more aggressive wire specification than a low-power machine. If you buy a fast wire for a low-power machine you lose the benefit; if you put a conservative wire on a 75kW machine you leave capacity unused. We size the two together.
