The cutting component itself
The diamond bead is the part of a wire that actually cuts. Everything else — the steel cable, the rubber or the spring — only positions and protects the beads. Bead process, size, spacing and bond decide cutting speed, wire life and cost per square meter.
Sintered beads — the general-purpose choice, giving the best balance of cutting speed, bead life and cost per square meter.
Vacuum-brazed beads — diamonds are metallurgically bonded and fully exposed, so diamond height reaches up to 2/3 of bead height against roughly 1/3 for electroplated beads. Field experience shows up to 4x the cutting efficiency of electroplated beads, with orderly diamond placement and adjustable density.
Electroplated beads are easier to produce but have lower cutting efficiency, shorter life and higher diamond consumption. They remain appropriate for some large-tool applications where electroplating performs slightly better.
Choose the correct bead with the right size and spacing based on your cutting equipment and project requirements. Bead type, size and spacing affect cutting speed and surface finish as well as wire life.

Every specification above is confirmed against your material, machine and site conditions before an order is placed.
We specify against the job rather than the catalog. These are the facts that decide the answer for anything in Diamond Wire.
This product is specified as part of a set. These are the wire families and product groups it is normally combined with — final selection depends on the material, the machine and the site conditions.
