The G129 — our reference granite quarry wire
The G129 granite quarry diamond wire is our reference wire for hard stone. It is developed for granite quarry applications with the focus on a practical balance between cutting performance and wire life — not on a single headline number.
Wire specification, diamond concentration, bead design, rubber or spring assembly, cutting characteristics and the condition of the wire all influence cutting speed, wire life and cost per square meter. Machine reliability and rail position set the mechanical foundation; the wire is the actual cutting medium.
Granite is hard and abrasive: Softer bond formula with stronger diamond exposure — keeps cutting efficiency high and prevents the bead glazing over in hard, dense or heavily reinforced material.
Diamond wire is designed to rotate during cutting so the beads wear uniformly around their circumference. If obvious one-sided wear flats develop, the complete cutting setup should be reviewed — not just the wire.
Quarries with holes and cracks need enhanced wire assembly with springs between the beads. A solid rubber wire can snag and break in fissured ground.
Values we can state from real applications, with the basis for each one.

One row per attribute. A cell reading “Not stated” has no verified figure behind it — we confirm it against your job rather than assume a value. Machine dimensions, weight, wire speed and rail configuration are available on request.
Every specification above is confirmed against your material, machine and site conditions before an order is placed.
We specify against the job rather than the catalog. These are the facts that decide the answer for anything in Diamond Wire.
This product is specified as part of a set. These are the wire families and product groups it is normally combined with — final selection depends on the material, the machine and the site conditions.
Actual applications with the equipment, tooling and working conditions recorded.

Cutting speed 8–10 m²/hour. Wire lifetime 20–24 m² per meter. Stable cutting with no wire breaks recorded, and measurably reduced downtime.

Higher output per shift, with wire life stable enough to plan production around rather than react to.

DTH drilling demonstrated working performance on Impala granite in continuous quarry conditions, supporting the quarry development program.

Send the material, the machine and the working conditions. We will come back with a specification that suits the job — and say plainly where a limit exists.
