Slab production on multi-wire machines
Multi diamond wire is engineered for high-volume slab cutting on multi-wire saw machines. Tensioned across a frame, the wires cut a block into multiple slabs in one pass, so wire consistency — diameter, bead spacing and reinforcement — decides whether the line runs steadily or stops for wire changes.
In a multi-wire frame every wire works at the same time. Small differences in bead diameter or spacing show up as uneven slab thickness and short wire life, so the wire is specified as a matched set rather than as individual coils.
The MW series uses a BASF plastic reinforcement between the beads. Plastic keeps the beads evenly spaced and protects the cable at the bead seat, which is where wires normally fail.
Linear speed stays in the same band across soft, medium and hard stone; what changes is the down speed and the achievable cutting life. We set both against the stone you are actually processing rather than quoting a single figure.
Values we can state from real applications, with the basis for each one.

One row per attribute. A cell reading “Not stated” has no verified figure behind it — we confirm it against your job rather than assume a value. Machine dimensions, weight, wire speed and rail configuration are available on request.
Every specification above is confirmed against your material, machine and site conditions before an order is placed.
We specify against the job rather than the catalog. These are the facts that decide the answer for anything in Diamond Wire.
This product is specified as part of a set. These are the wire families and product groups it is normally combined with — final selection depends on the material, the machine and the site conditions.
