Wire for softer, lower-abrasion stone
Limestone and dolomite cut readily but still need the right bond and bead spacing. The risk here is not slow cutting — it is a wire that wears out early because it was specified for harder stone.
Soft, low-abrasion stone: Harder bond formula — holds the diamond longer and extends bead life where the material is soft and non-abrasive.
In softer stone cutting speed rises, and so does wire wear if the specification is wrong. We set wire and machine parameters together rather than optimizing one alone.
Even in soft stone the cut generates heat. Adequate cooling at the cut is what protects the bond and the wire core.
Values we can state from real applications, with the basis for each one.

One row per attribute. A cell reading “Not stated” has no verified figure behind it — we confirm it against your job rather than assume a value. Machine dimensions, weight, wire speed and rail configuration are available on request.
Every specification above is confirmed against your material, machine and site conditions before an order is placed.
We specify against the job rather than the catalog. These are the facts that decide the answer for anything in Diamond Wire.
This product is specified as part of a set. These are the wire families and product groups it is normally combined with — final selection depends on the material, the machine and the site conditions.
Actual applications with the equipment, tooling and working conditions recorded.

All 18 wire saw machines still in service, including the original unit. A partnership that has run from the early Keentool days through to the current

Higher output per shift, with wire life stable enough to plan production around rather than react to.

Cutting speed 8–10 m²/hour. Wire lifetime 20–24 m² per meter. Stable cutting with no wire breaks recorded, and measurably reduced downtime.
How this equipment and tooling performs in real quarry and construction conditions.
Send the material, the machine and the working conditions. We will come back with a specification that suits the job — and say plainly where a limit exists.
